Using this site means accepting these terms. If you use ThreatBharat on behalf of an organisation, you are confirming you may accept them for it.

What ThreatBharat is

ThreatBharat is an independent cyber threat intelligence platform focused on India. It publishes analysis of publicly observable claims and incidents. It is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for the Government of India, any government body, regulator, or law-enforcement agency.

What the intelligence is not

This is the most important section on this page.

• Publication is not confirmation. A published report means a claim was made and is documented. Unless a report explicitly states otherwise, it does not assert that any dataset is authentic, or that a named organisation has confirmed or suffered a breach. See responsible publication.
• It is not legal, regulatory, financial, or professional advice. Do not use it as the sole basis for a regulatory filing, a disclosure decision, a contractual action, or a public statement.
• It is not a completeness guarantee. Absence of a report is not evidence that an organisation has not been affected.
• It changes. Verification labels and confidence levels are revised as evidence arrives. A report can be corrected or retracted — see corrections and retractions.

Take your own advice before acting on anything here in a way that has legal, financial, or reputational consequences.

Using the content

You may read, quote, and cite published reports for security, research, journalistic, and educational purposes, with attribution to ThreatBharat and a link to the report.

You may not:

• republish reports wholesale, or scrape the site to build a competing or derivative dataset;
• present our analysis as your own, or strip verification labels and caveats when quoting — a quotation that removes “claimed” changes the meaning entirely;
• use the content to harass, extort, or defame an organisation or an individual named in a report;
• use automated access that degrades the service for others.

Report text, analysis, and design remain ours. Facts are not owned by anyone. Acceptable use sets out the restrictions in full.

Accounts

Accounts are provisioned by an administrator; there is no public self-registration. If you have one:

• keep your credentials to yourself — accounts are personal and not to be shared;
• enable multi-factor authentication where prompted, and expect it to be required for privileged actions;
• tell us immediately at security@threatbharat.com if you think your account has been compromised;
• use only the access you have been granted, and do not attempt to reach another workspace’s data.

We may suspend or close an account that is used in breach of these terms, or where doing so is necessary to protect the platform or its users.

Availability

We work to keep ThreatBharat available and correct, but we provide it as is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every report is accurate or complete. Maintenance, incidents, and dependency failures will sometimes interrupt service.

Limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, ThreatBharat is not liable for loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the platform — including business loss, lost profits, lost data, or reputational harm — or for the acts of third parties whose claims we report.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where a limitation is unenforceable, the rest still applies.

If you are named in a report

You can respond, and we will record your position — including a denial — even where we continue to publish. Use the affected organisation route, which is prioritised, or request a correction. We will correct what is wrong. We will not withdraw an accurate, evidenced report because its subject would prefer it were not published.

Security research

Good-faith testing of ThreatBharat itself is welcome within the limits in acceptable use. Report findings to security@threatbharat.com. Do not test using other users’ accounts or data.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected here rather than applied silently, and continuing to use the platform after a change means accepting it.
